Averatec's first Vista-based ultraportable, the 2371, is a great deal if you're looking for a lightweight laptop, cheap. At a low price of $900, this ultraportable weights a totable 4.1 pounds. To keep the price down, Averatec outfits this system with an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 processor running at 1.6 GHz and 1GB of DDR2 memory. Since it's an ultraportable, there are usually some tradeoffs for such portability in a sub-$1,000 price.
