Logitech is getting closer to giving you that Jetsons webcam of the future. Today the company announced its QuickCam Pro 9000 and the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks. Both webcams feature lenses designed in an exclusive collaboration with Carl Zeiss, one of the world's leading optics companies.
The new webcams join Logitech's older webcam offerings (Logitech recently shipped its 50 millionth webcam) but give users a step up in quality and style. Logitech didn't stop with Carl Zeiss optics, as the QuickCam Pro 9000 and QuickCam Pro for Notebooks each use an autofocus system for focusing, and can record video at up to 30 frames per second. Because both webcams support the 720p high-definition (HD) video format, people can capture and view sharp-looking video clips. They also feature true two-megapixel sensors that can capture up to eight-megapixel photos, as well as built-in microphones with RightSound and RightLight2 Technology.
